Will on a Seafaring Vessel

It's my hope that this website allows you to see who I really am and what makes me stand out as an individual. The website is divided into six sections spanning my academic endeavors, workforce experience, participation in various student groups at Boston University, volunteer work, and of course, my own personal interests.

On May 18th, I graduated from Boston University's School of Management with a BS in Business Administration and Dual Concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. MIS Quarterly ranks our Management Information Systems Department among the top ten IS departments in the US and The Wall Street Journal ranks our IS department 10th in the world for academic excellence. BU's School of Management provides a unique learning experience because a majority of the work is done in teams. In the spring of 2007, I completed Core, a cross functional program where teams are responsible for developing a business plan to present to venture capitalists. My team developed the E-Z Snap Baseball Cap, a hat with interchangeable patches. Core really is baptism by fire for the businessman, all of our information came from conversations and interactions with suppliers, software vendors, retailers, and future customers. This past year I was chosen to be the Teaching Fellow for the Information Systems class in Core. It was very exciting to be participating in this world class program, and I am extremely proud of all of my accomplishments at Boston University.

This past summer I had an internship at UBS in Market Data Services under their Information Technology Infrastructure division. A leading global financial services firm, UBS is the world's largest global asset manager, a top-tier provider of investment banking and securities distribution, and a leading provider of private banking services. Even as an intern, I was able to accomplish a lot with the company. Working on various cost cutting initiatives, I was able to record cost savings of over $265,000 from the projects I worked on. I also was able to work on assignments dealing with bank compliance and work with the finance division. Most importantly, when I went to Japan and Hong Kong this summer, I was able to reach out to my group's local counterparts. In Tokyo, I met the entire MDS team and the head of IT for Japan, and in Hong Kong I was able to have a meeting with the Regional Director of MDS for Asia Pacific. Working for UBS provided me a great summer with amazing opportunities.
